Cooperation in the field of vocational education is a priority for craftsmen and the state A meeting was held at the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth on the initiative of the Croatian Chamber of Crafts and Trades on the topic of current changes in vocational education with an emphasis on curriculum reform. Vice President Adolf Cvanciger, on behalf of the Croatian Chamber of Crafts, stated at the meeting that vocational occupations must have a minimum of 60% practice and 40% theory, and that practice and apprenticeship must take place exclusively in licensed workshops with employers, and that it is necessary to enable enrollment in occupations for this school year for which new curricula have not been developed (locksmith, gas fitter, ship mechanic, chiropodist and photographer) as soon as possible. The HOK warned that it will have a negative impact on the crafts and economy if a solution is not found as soon as possible and students are not enrolled in these already scarce occupations, and that it is necessary to consider the possibility of enrolling them according to the old curricula, until a new one is developed.
